Uber CEO:We are considering accepting payments in bitcoin

Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi said in an interview with CNBC on Thursday, February 11th that the company will accept Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as a form of payment if necessary.

“Just as we accept local currency, we will consider cryptocurrency and / or bitcoin as a transactional currency. It's good for business, it's good for our customers.” he said.

"We're not going to do it just as part of a promotion."

Khosrowshahi added that Uber is not considering investing part of its reserves in bitcoin.

“This offer was quickly rejected. We will continue to store our cash. We are not engaged in speculation, ”Khosrowshahi said.
